Rethinking Markets

I am taking two courses through Coursera now, though these are the first courses I’ve taken since, swearing off of school after finishing the PhD. I was a little bit inspired by Mitch Duneier’s description of his intro course he taught in this fashion, and I’ve been wrapping my head around what’s going on with MOOCs (Masssive open online courses, though it sounds something like the ROUSes from the Princess Bride). There is a fairly wide chasm between something like Khan Academy and what is taught in many colleges and universities, but chalk me up as someone who is rooting for innovation on this front. I will keep you apprised, natch.
